  1. From the article:

Spoken or not, the sentiment appears to be that gun violence is more acceptable in certain places among certain people than it is in others.

This is 100% race baiting. Nobody is suggesting that killing blacks or Hispanics is more acceptable than killing whites. And not only is nobody saying that, but very few people, I would think, believe it!

The article overlooks some important difference between inner city violence and seemingly random mass-shootings: (1) violence in the inner city is almost exclusively gang-related; (2) ghettos, even white ghettos, are violent by nature of their existence; and (3) the weapons used are almost always obtained illegally.

There is almost no way government can address inner city violence outside of putting more police on the streets, and that sometimes only stirs anger. How many more firearm ordinances need be shown ineffective before they realize that gun control is not the answer. Like I said, almost all the weapons used by gangs are illegally obtained anyway.

But whether it’s Chicago, Oak Creek, Detroit, New York or Tucson, the problem is the same: guns.

Does the mere sight of a gun turn young kids into the Afro-Hulk or what? It’s just an absurd argument. Guns are a tool, not a cause. Without them, they’ll find another way to be violent. They’ll go back to using knives and firebombs like in times past.

It’s not the people that make guns dangerous, but the other way around.

This is scandalously asinine. It’s like saying that people are fat because of spoons. It’s absurd.

We are a nation of the Second Amendment and guns. But we don’t have to be.

How can you read this garbage? How can someone who idolizes Thomas Paine and John Locke read this sheepish bullshit? These people are stupid. And I’ll prove it.

As I’ve said here before, the idea that keeping guns out of the hands of “bad” or “dangerous” people will solve the problem of gun violence rests on the fallacy that “good” people never do the wrong thing. It’s not the people that make guns dangerous, but the other way around.

And his argument rests on the assumption that government never does the wrong thing, never becomes antithetical to liberty, and that we’ll NEVER need to defend ourselves from tyranny.

Mychal Smith might as well shut his ignorant mouth, because we will ALWAYS be a nation of the Second Amendment and guns. There are too many people willing to stand up and fight for this right, and too few liberals to mount any sort of a resistance.

There will be another Revolution if this nonsense keeps up, Lobotero.

      1. I agree, Lobotero. You think I’m concerned about guns only? Hell no. I’m sick and tired of the lack of transparency in our government, which has been going on since Bush. I’m tired of unconstitutional Patriot Acts that are anything but Patriotic.

Yes, if there is a Revolution, there needs to be many changes.

  2. For some reason, it didn’t quote the statements from the article.

This should be quoted: “Spoken or not, the sentiment appears to be that gun violence is more acceptable in certain places among certain people than it is in others.”

This should be quoted: “But whether it’s Chicago, Oak Creek, Detroit, New York or Tucson, the problem is the same: guns.”

This should be quoted: “It’s not the people that make guns dangerous, but the other way around.”

This should be quoted: “We are a nation of the Second Amendment and guns. But we don’t have to be.”

And this should be quoted: “As I’ve said here before, the idea that keeping guns out of the hands of “bad” or “dangerous” people will solve the problem of gun violence rests on the fallacy that “good” people never do the wrong thing. It’s not the people that make guns dangerous, but the other way around.”

Sorry. I don’t understand why blockquote didn’t work.

    1. Trust me….because they vote does not mean they will be an ally…….besides the way this admin or any admin treats vets they may have a separate agenda….
