For the last couple of days I have been posting on fiscal policy, economics, debt and money….or the lack there of…….
In this time of national emergency…..every little bit helps…….since the deficit does not seem to be a major concern right now…..NO….of Congress is worried about a law in effect or abortion or….well just about anything but what is important…..
The Repubs keep driving the national debt into our brains….over and over and over…..like a nail to the center of the brain…….somewhere in the neighborhood of $14.5 trillion…..a lot of money…..and with all their bitching and moan, I decided to do my part….I feel that we must all do our part……
So out of the kindness of my heart I am sending Rep. Paul Ryan, the math wiz for the GOP, the man with ALL the answers to our fiscal problems……(in case you missed it…that was sarcasm)…… $50 trillion dollars….you heard me right!….$50 trillion dollars! I hope he appreciates the effort…..if NOT the reason…that he will not like….NO SENSE OF HUMOR!
I figured that it will pay the debt and they could keep the change (a magnanimous gesture on my part) to help with the next massive crisis that they would have use believe is coming……….
This is the cash I will send….
Okay it is Zimbabwean dollars and not good old USA…..but NO one said it had to be American green backs……
I make this donation to make a point…..my good faith effort is more sincere than any of the solutions Washington is contemplating….my gesture may seem insignificant but at least I am willing to try to find a solution…..at least I am trying to do something constructive instead of worrying about a seating arrangement…..or who we will investigate first……these are the people that YOU put on trust in last November….how they doing? SUCKER!
If you people keep voting as your record shows, then we will NEVER find a solution to our fiscal problems….
BTW…where are the jobs we were promised?
I do not usual post on gossipy stuff….but this one just caught my attention and believe me…I have NEVER laughed so much……(I need to thank Ron for spotting this and turning me on to it)
From Radar On-line.com
In a filing obtained exclusively by RadarOnline.com, Valerie Joyce Wilson Turks is seeking a restraining order against the star, real name Sean Combs, accusing him of a whole plethora of wrong doings.
According to Turks, the 41-year-old, along with his ex-girlfriend Kim Porter and LAPD brutality victim Rodney King, is responsible for the collapse of the World Trade Center amongst other outrageous alleged atrocities. She alleges that she has been subjected to abuse from 2001 – 2010 and that: “[Diddy] went through Kim Porter and Rodney King and knocked down the WTC and then they all came and knocked my children down. Set me up to be on disability and disabled my baby. he put my baby in a wheelchair.”
Valerie then goes on to say in her statement that is riddled with spelling and punctuation errors: “He date raped me 24 years ago and knocked me down him and Kim Porter and Wallace Wright, then Sean Combs and Kim and Wallace Wright came back 18 years later and raped and sexually abused my children and knocked my children down and crushed me and my children daily.
Have you stopped laughing yet…But WAIT! There is so much more…….click on the documents and read what this person is saying…..
I cannot make this shit up….this is REAL and SERIOUS! Enjoy!

Probably NOT! To answer my own question……..
I realize that NOT many Americans give two craps in Hell about what is happening in Tunisia, which I have written about in the past….but the uninformed is always caught with their pants around their ankles…..
Step back in time a couple of weeks…massive protests in Tunisia over corruption, food prices, unemployment, etc…all the same stuff that many of us are thinking about these days of dwindling employment……people took to the streets…..president (a dictator) went on the lame…..Prime Minister resigned…..and the government was toppled……
A very short and concise analysis of the happenings in that country….but you ask :so what”? Right?
How about on to Egypt……
The BBC’s Jon Leyne in Cairo says that while the protesters are still only a minority of Egyptians, they show no sign of fading away and there is a chance that many more people will join once the working week finishes on Thursday.
The government appears to have no answer to the anger and disappointment being expressed on the streets, our correspondent adds – its only response so far has been to crack down on demonstrators and increase security.
Oh yeah…they are sick of no jobs, high food prices, corruption and a police state….sound familiar?
So there are a few Arabs upset with their government……and then there is Yemen……
Yemeni opposition members and youth activists gathered in four parts of the city, including Sanaa University, chanting anti-government slogans.
They also called for economic reforms and an end to corruption.
Yemenis complain of mounting poverty among a growing young population and frustration with a lack of political freedoms.
Yemen is struggling with soaring unemployment and dwindling oil and water reserves. Almost half its 23 million people live on $2 or less a day, and one-third suffer from chronic hunger. The country has also been plagued by a range of security issues, including a separatist movement in the south and an uprising of Shia Houthi rebels in the north.
Yemenis are angry over parliament’s attempts to loosen the rules on presidential term limits, sparking opposition concerns that Mr Saleh might try to appoint himself president for life.
Mr Saleh is also accused of wanting to hand power to his eldest son, Ahmed, who heads the elite presidential guard, but he has denied the accusations.
So a couple of countries in the Middle East have a couple of pissed off citizens….what difference does it make to you? Unrest! And how could all that effect the flow of oil?
Among the states analysts suggest may be flashpoints are Egypt, Jordan, Syria and other North African countries. Popular frustrations extend to the Gulf, but these oil-producing states with vast financial reserves have a welfare system in place to buy off the opposition.
When or whether other Arab states will reach a tipping point is far from clear. But analysts said Tunisia’s experience shows momentum can gather quickly even in a state with notoriously tight security that had till now effectively smothered dissent.
Looks like a fledgling democracy movement may be a foot….of course most of the countries of the Middle East and North Africa are authoritarian there will be bloodshed…..and there will be a bit of panic and when panic sets in your gas prices will probably go up if it is not extinguished quickly….and the American people will scratch their heads and not understand why they must pay more and more for their gas for the family Hummer……
At least I will be fore warned……..
Addendum: All this chaos worries me for normal people of the areas….I had a friend in Lebanon and have not heard from her since the protests in that country 3 years ago….it was not like her to go with contact….so I have feared since those days that something may have happened to her……If you have friends in the areas under the protests I share your concern for their safety……
WTF? Now that I have set up my segway…..Our fav, Sarah Palin when interviewed on FOX News after the SOTU speech just could not let her lame diatribes be enough….once again she is against everything and has NO clue what to do or for that matter what she is talking about…..and some say she will run for the nomination of the GOP…..that oughta get the Dems jerking off in the corner……
Beyond all that, she has made it into the anal-ocity, as usual, when talking about the “Sputnik moment”…she said……
she made the astonishing claim that Sputnik “incurred so much debt at the time that it resulted in the inevitable collapse of the Soviet Union.”
Watch it for yourself……
She has a very serious lack of grasp of history….but I will agree with her on one point…..USSR DID incur massive debt that lead to their downfall….but it was not Sputnik, but rather trying to keep up with the Reagan years of massive Defense spending…….
May I suggest that she, as well as many of her supporters, if the IQ ever makes it to 100….SELL!
I have been one of those people that have been blaming Clinton and his Boyz and banks for the economic crisis we are in now…..some say it is NOT justified…..but I say….WAKE UP!
In a recent report from the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission the findings just add to my disgust with what politicians allowed to happen to our country…..
“The crisis was the result of human action and inaction, not of Mother Nature or models gone haywire,” the report said.
“The captains of finance and the public stewards of our financial system ignored warnings and failed to question, understand and manage evolving risks within a system essential to the well-being of the American public.
The damning report criticised the extent of the financial deregulation overseen by the former chairman of the Federal Reserve, Alan Greenspan.
It concluded that the crisis was caused by a number of factors:
- Failures in financial regulation, including the Federal Reserve’s failure “to stem the tide of toxic mortgages”
- A breakdown in corporate governance that led to “reckless” actions and excessive risk taking by financial institutions
- Households taking on too much debt
- A lack of understanding of the financial system on behalf of policymakers
- Fundamental breaches in accountability and ethics “at all levels”.
It added that “collapsing mortgage-lending standards” and the packaging-up of mortgage-related debt into investment vehicles “lit and spread the flame of contagion”.
Points one and two were covered by Glass-Steagall aand the last one was a screw up by the people that were in Washington…..
And then there is a very predictable reaction to the report…….Only the six Democrat members of the 10-strong commission, set up in May 2009, endorsed the report’s findings. Kinda like saying …”it is not our fault”….where is the responsibility? Oh sorry….that pertains to us humans…not our politicians……some of the causes according to the dissenting GOPers…..
The GOP report said: “All these factors were supplemented by government policies … that subsidized homeownership but created hidden costs to taxpayers and the economy. Elected officials of both parties pushed housing subsidies too far.”
CREDIT BUBBLE. A credit bubble caused by global capital flows into the United States and Europe from China and other developing nations reduced interest rates and encouraged risky lending. “U.S. monetary policy may have contributed to the credit bubble but did not cause it,” says the dissent.
HOUSING BUBBLE. A housing bubble emerged that was caused by “many factors,” including population growth in “Sand States” such as Arizona, Florida, Nevada and California.
SUBPRIME LENDING. Subprime mortgage lending exploded and was often deceptive and confusing, fueled by cheap credit. Leading lenders were Countrywide, Washington Mutual, Ameriquest and HSBC Financial. This amplified the housing bubble.
And I have a flash for y’all….it will happen again…..the reform that the prez is so proud of has NOT addressed the problems that were the cause of our financial grief…….keep in mind….I WILL say…”I Told You So”……
The Anti-Christ? an interesting word…..people have being seeing this boogey man since the term was first used….people, places and things have been accused of being this problem….so I thought I would join in the fun…..
If you listen to the news or read a newspaper or site, then you are well aware of what is being said about the banks….stuff like……and we can throw the Fed in there also…….
- It concentrated the nation’s financial strength in a single institution.
- It exposed the government to control by foreign interests.
- It served mainly to make the rich richer.
- It exercised too much control over members of Congress.
- It favored northeastern states over southern and western states.
- Banks are controlled by a few select families.
- Banks have a long history of instigating wars between nations, forcing them to borrow funding to pay for them.
You have heard all the accusations…..and the way they are behaving they seem to be true….but look at the list again….see anything unusual?
No? Those accusations are not something made up a couple of weeks or months ago….but rather back in the 1830′s or so….those were the arguments that Andrew Jackson made as a justification to why he vetoed the charter of the national bank……
Seems that after about a 170 years not much has changed when it comes to banks…they were screwing the American people then and they are screwing us NOW!
Of course they are NOT the anti-Christ….but if one looks for a villain in the current economic crisis…..the look no further than the big banks….and what they have gained from taxpayers money……
When will we ever learn?
From time to time I either see, read or hear something that makes me hit myself in the head and ask just how stupid are they? Usually the TV is the prime source of aggravation, but this time it is a bumper sticker……while driving to the store I got behind a Hummer, you know the vehicle that gets 4 gallons to the mile?…..anyway the sticker said…….”Drill Here….Drill Now….Pay Less”…..
Okay the section out there with the mental midgets…….if oil is drilled for here, how many really think that you will pay less? (Pause here to give the multitude a chance to contemplate the question)……..
Do you seriously believe that if gas is $4 a gallon and it is drilled for here the price will come down? Exxon, Shell, Texaco, etc….will screw themselves out of all that profit? But I guess if I was driving a Hummer I would be delusional also……
Just yet another illustration of the sheer stupidity of the American people….they buy into some lame ass slogan and embrace it as fact……you tell if that is a way to go through life? The statement is stupid, ignorant, moronic and completely fictional….but then that is how Americans vote…..(yawn)…..
Wait there is More!
On MLK Day a bomb was found along the parade route and disarmed before it could do any damage…the officials said that they did not know who placed it or what is was suppose to do (paraphrase)…..think about that! They did not know what it was suppose to do…..how about f*ck up the parade and injure many people….that is called DOMESTIC TERRORISM!
Now, why has there been very little about this on the news? Short of an initial report………apparently if it had been a Muslim who did it it would be a two week diatribe on all the stations…..why is domestic terrorism not that important for the media? But yet they will show ambulance driving slowly from a hospital to an airport…….I kept waiting for a white Bronco to go by…….(thanx to Phillip for the anology)
Now tell me that the media does NOT drive national conversations!
That time again….yet another anal statement…..for years now I have been criticized for my picking on conservs in my anal-ocity posts….well, sorry to say…it is nothing personal, but they seem to make more anal statements than Dems….but I could be mistaken….as a matter of fact…I AM!
This anal-ocity was spoken by the President of the United States, Barack Obama…..during his recent State of the Union speech he made this point…
We cannot win the future with a government of the past….
Applause….applause….Dems liked it…..Repubs liked it…….and the peasants danced…….
But why is this anal? First, good tag line….should get lots of media coverage…..but beyond all that it is lame and therefore ….AN ANAL STATEMENT! I will agree with the statement….but they have NO clue what it means other than a good tag line……
All the solutions to our current economic problems are the same solutions that have been offered for the past 25+ years…….from the government of the past…….because it is so lame……Obama gets his first anal-ocity of 2011……
College of Political Knowledge
I have from time to time pointed out the revisionist attempt to change our history….one of the biggest revisionist is one Glenn beck of FOX News……and from time to time, a few members of our government have shown a serious lack of knowledge about our history…..but one of the most revisionist in Congress is the Queen of the Tea Party….Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN)…….
Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) said the United States was founded on racial and ethnic diversity and that the founding fathers were responsible for abolishing slavery.Speaking at an event sponsored by Iowans For Tax Relief, Bachmann hailed the “different cultures, different backgrounds, different traditions” of the early European settlers in America, adding that the “color of their skin” or “language” or “economic status” didn’t preclude them from seeking happiness.
“But we also know that the very founders that wrote those documents worked tirelessly until slavery was no more in the United States,” Bachmann added, claiming “men like John Quincy Adams… would not rest until slavery was extinguished in the country.”
Watch her in her own words……..http://t.co/dxZbo3M
Did she NOT pay attention in American History class? Beyond that, where would she get such an idea of history…….from an old friend…there is where…..
And then there is MSNBC’s Chris Matthews who did something that many have wanted to do but were concerned on their ratings…..I agree with Matthews on this one….watch the video…it is a bit lengthy but well worth the watch….
Love the new words in use….Bubble Head and Full Mooners…….
